Types of Membership

The OSP offers a range of membership options tailored to every stage of a periodontist’s career — from student to retired professional. Discover the category that best suits your practice, training, or future aspirations.

Full Member ($375)

A dentist certified in periodontics by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (or equivalent provincial/territorial regulatory body) may apply to be a Full Member.

Recent Graduate Member ($150)

If you are within the first three years of graduation from an accredited periodontology program, the OSP offers a reduced membership rate.

Resident Member (free)

Current students in a registered periodontology program in Canada may apply for a free membership. Applications are reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors.

Retired Member (free)

A periodontist who is fully retired from practice is eligible to apply for this class of membership. Applications are reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors.
