Workshop Title:
Implant Provisionalization to Optimize the Final Aesthetic Outcome

Due to high interest, Dr. Gonzalez Martin will offer a hands-on workshop in the morning and a repeat afternoon session. Registration for each workshop is limited to 15 participants and is open only to current OSP members.
Morning Workshop: 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Afternoon Workshop: 1:30 PM - 5:00 PM

Overview of Workshop:
In this hands-on session, fundamental concepts for subgingival abutment design and the role of the critical and subcritical contour to sculpt the peri-implant soft tissues, including the mucosal margin level, architecture and colour will be described step by step.
Objectives
- Review current techniques to optimize esthetic results in implant dentistry
- Discuss different protocols to fabricate an immediate provisional restoration in the esthetic zone
- Understand the concepts of the critical and subcritical contour and the role of provisional modifications in the final appearance of the peri-implant soft tissues.

Fundamentals in Perio-Prostho Treatment in the Aesthetic Area

Overview of Lecture
To achieve predictable and optimal outcomes, contemporary multidisciplinary treatment in periodontal patients should aim to achieve not only functional stability but also aesthetic harmony. The sequelae of periodontitis represent a complex therapeutic challenge. Among them, tooth replacement in the anterior zone with dental implants implies careful diagnosis and treatment planning in the context of interdisciplinary dentistry. In this lecture, protocols to facilitate the execution of interdisciplinary treatment plans to rehabilitate the aesthetic zone in patients with a history of periodontitis will be presented, with a particular focus on minimally invasive techniques.
About Dr. Oscar González-Martín, DDS, PhD, MSc.
Dr. Gonzalez-Martín received the DDS degree from University of Seville in 1999 and he was appointed as an assistant professor at the same university from 1999 to 2005, while combining to private practice. In 2005, he moves to Philadelphia to obtain the MS degree in Graduate Periodontics and Periodontal-Prosthesis in 2009 from University of Pennsylvania. He received the Arnold Weisgold ́s Director ́s Award. He joined the UPenn faculty as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in 2009 and he currently keeps the position. He became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontics in 2009. In 2010, he received an scholarship to join to the Fixed Prosthodontic and Occlusion Department at the University of Geneva School of Dental Medicine. In 2015, he obtained an International PhD at the University of Seville. At the present moment, he teaches in the graduated program of Periodontology at University Complutense of Madrid while combines to a private practice exclusively in Periodontics, Prosthesis and Implants in Gonzalez + Solano Atelier Dental.
