2025 Spring Scientific Meeting

Friday, April 4, 2025 and Saturday, April 5, 2025
Delta Marriott Toronto Markham
50 East Valhalla Drive
Markham, ON L3R 0A3

We hope you will join us on Friday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5 as we bring Dr. Rodrigo Neiva, DDS, MS to Toronto!

Friday, April 4 - 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Building a Solid Foundation for Oral Rehabilitation with LASSO GBR
Historically, alveolar ridge preservation and development have focused on volumetric changes with little attention to tissue quality. The aim of this presentation is to discuss disadvantages, and realistic short- and long-term expectations of traditional methods of alveolar ridge development for implant therapy and to discuss advantages of LASSO GBR, a contemporary method of alveolar ridge development, designed to maximize tissue quality.

At the end of this presentation, clinicians should be able to know and understand:

  • Rationale for absorbable scaffolds in tissue augmentation procedures
  • Material selection based on material properties and features
  • Management of complex alveolar ridge defects

5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Cocktail Reception

Following Dr. Neiva's session, you're invited to stay for a cocktail reception to network and reconnect with friends and colleagues.

Saturday, April 5 - 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
LASSO GBR: Hands-on session on pig jaws
This hands-on workshop on pig jaws will cover hard tissue development using LASSO GBR.  At the end of this workshop, clinicians should be able to perform:

  • Flap release with single periosteal incision
  • Creation of periosteal anchor for membrane stabilization
  • Membrane adaptation and strategies for graft material application
  • Graft/membrane complex stabilization following the concept of LASSO GBR
